The Roof Desk is run by Maribel Tesorero. I provide admin, back-office and AI automation services to roofing and home services companies. This policy explains what information I collect through theroofdesk.com and my services, how I use it, and the choices you have.
Short version: I only collect what you choose to enter in a demo or send me, I use it only to run the demo and follow up, I never sell it, and you can ask me to delete it any time at maribeltesorero@yahoo.com.
What I collect
Instant estimate demo
When you look up an address, the address is sent to my automation server to measure the roof and produce a demo estimate. If you then request an inspection, I also collect your name, phone number and email. Together with the address and estimate, these are saved to a private Google Sheet that only I can open. Contacting you requires your consent, which you give with the checkbox on the form. Consent isn't required to use the estimator.
Voice and speed-to-lead demos
The AI receptionist and speed-to-lead demos are live voice calls that run in your browser through Vapi, a voice AI provider. Your voice is processed in real time so the AI can respond, and the name, address and issue you enter are passed to the AI for that call. Call recording is turned off for the speed-to-lead demo. The speed-to-lead demo doesn't send a real text, and the booking is fictional. Please don't share sensitive personal information during a demo.
Storm reactivation demo
This demo uses the hail date and ZIP code you enter to look up public NOAA weather reports. The "customers" shown are fictional.
AI cold outreach demo
The first name, company, role, property type, city and note you enter are sent to my automation server and to Anthropic (the AI provider) only to write the sample email shown on the page. They aren't saved. To prevent abuse, the server briefly keeps a count of requests per IP address (for about an hour) and a daily total. No email is sent to anyone.
Booking a call and email
If you book a call through Calendly or email me, I receive the details you provide, such as your name, business, email and message.
Website basics
Like most websites, the hosting and map services may receive basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. The estimate demo uses Google Maps and OpenStreetMap imagery.
Client data
When I build or run automations for a client, I may process data that belongs to that client and their customers, such as leads, contact details and messages. I handle this data only on the client's instructions and only for the work they've engaged me for.
How I use information
- to run the demos and show you the result
- to follow up about a demo or enquiry, if you agreed to be contacted
- to provide, test and maintain services for clients
- to keep my systems secure and meet legal obligations
I do not sell or rent personal information, and I do not use it for advertising.
Google user data
Some automations I build and run connect to Google services such as Gmail and Google Sheets through Google's APIs, with the account owner's permission. Data accessed through Google APIs is used only to provide the automation the account owner has set up, for example sending emails the owner has approved, detecting replies, and updating a Google Sheet.
The Roof Desk's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to train general-purpose AI models. People do not read it except with the account owner's permission (for example, to troubleshoot), for security reasons, or when the law requires it.
Service providers
I use trusted providers to run the website, demos and automations. These include website hosting, n8n (automation), Google (Workspace, Sheets, Maps), Vapi and connected phone services (voice AI), Anthropic (AI text generation), and Calendly (scheduling). They process data only as needed to provide their services, under their own privacy terms.
How long I keep it
Demo leads are kept only as long as needed to follow up, then deleted. Client data is kept for the length of the engagement and deleted or returned when the client asks or the engagement ends.
Security
I use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, restricted access to sheets and accounts, and keys limited to the services that need them. No system is completely secure, but I work to protect the information I hold.
Your choices
- Ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing maribeltesorero@yahoo.com.
- Stop texts by replying STOP, or stop emails by replying "unsubscribe".
- If you connected a Google account to one of my automations, you can remove its access any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Children
This website and my services are for businesses and adults. I don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the effective date at the top.
